Those of us who make up the SBE and had the privilege to know and work with him mourn the loss of our colleague and friend, Prof. Arturo Muga, Professor of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of the Basque Country.
Arturo was a national benchmark in the study of the function of molecular chaperones, utilizing a variety of biochemical and biophysical techniques, some of which he pioneered in our country.
Arturo was not only a great scientist but also an outstanding individual, a fact that those of us who knew him well can attest to.
His smile will forever remain in our memories.
