This year, the French, Portuguese, and Spanish Young Biophysical Societies jointly organise the 1^st Satellite Event of the European South Atlantic Biophysics (ESAB) Congress. This one-day event will take place in Montpellier, France, on June 16, prior to the European SOUTH ATLANTIC BIOPHYSICS Congress 2026.

The Satellite Event of the XVIII International Congress of the SBE, organized by the Spanish Network of Young Biophysicists (Jóvenes Investigadores de la Sociedad de Biofísica de España, Ji-SBE), successfully took place in Madrid on June 23rd and 24th.

This first Ji-SBE meeting concluded with an excellent turnout and highly positive feedback from all attendees. The round table session, in particular, received outstanding interest and engagement, highlighting the value of open discussion among early-career researchers.

We’re thrilled with the enthusiasm shown and look forward to building on this momentum. Stay tuned—details about next year’s edition will be announced during the upcoming academic year!
