The Spanish Biophysical Society (SBE) wants to express its deep concern about the consequences of Russia’s unjustifiable aggression against Ukraine and urges that all necessary measures be taken to stop this war.
Whatever the nature of the problems that arise between countries, they must be resolved peacefully. Science has traditionally offered numerous examples of the success and progress to which working together across borders leads. Numerous scientists of all nationalities, identities, and cultures, traditionally work together in universities and research centers around the world, and of course in Europe, demonstrating the strength and power of cooperation in which European countries have always been exemplary.
The SBE encourages its members to support, to the best of their ability, the reception of Ukrainian refugee scientists in Spanish laboratories.
