Inaugurated on December 15, 2021 by the Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu, accompanied by the Institute’s director Prof. Iban Ubarretxena, the new Thermo Fisher Titan Krios G4 is one of the world’s most advanced microscopes, costing some 4.5 M€. The microscope will be used to reveal the structure of large macromolecules and macromolecular complexes implicated in infectious diseases, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
